In writer/director Gregory Corrado's second film, the supernatural thriller Murder Reincarnated (aka Minimal Knowledge, 2003), Cristián de la Fuente stars as Detective Matt Gallagher, an expert at identifying and hunting down serial killers. As the story opens, Matt's new partner (Henry Marshall) begins to mentor him, and they team up to investigate a series of killings of octogenarian women. The incidents suggest that the perpetrator harbors a deep and lingering hatred for his mother and is continually reenacting violence against the elderly victims who function as maternal surrogates.
