Kibun: Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling Moves, Vol. 1
In recent years, the California State Police Department has carried its finest into the ranks of hardcore martial champions, via regular jiu-jitsu training that helps the officers contend with the thugs and street scum they encounter on a daily basis. But two of the officers carried this principle one step beyond. David Welp and Pablo Cunningham -- who moonlight as a "jiu-jitsu stylist" and a wrestling pro, respectively -- developed a menacing new form of jiu-jitsu known simply as "Kibun" -- a Japanese term translated as "spirit of mind." Used primarily for self-defense, this stunning new form of jiu-jitsu incorporates a series of holds and escapes. The home release Kibun: Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling Moves, Vol. 1 represents the first film of its kind devoted to teaching at-home audiences the art of Kibun. The program instructs the viewer in performing arm and ankle locks, choke holds, sweeps, leg locks, and basic wrestling techniques -- all elements of Kibun. ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide
