Joey Ray
Joey Ray
In films from 1929, Joey Ray was a busy, albeit nearly anonymous, American general-purpose actor. During the 1930s and 1940s, Ray could usually be found at RKO Radio, playing one-scene bits as nightclub singers, gang leaders, gamblers, and thugs. One of his more noticeable roles was Joe Talbot in Paramount's The Big Clock (1948), an A-budget production which afforded generous screen time to several of Hollywood's most familiar character players. Joey Ray made his final screen appearance as a bartender in Republic's Girl in the Woods (1957). ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
