In this animated comedy inspired by the popular holiday tune, the economic downturn has hit the North Pole, where Santa Claus announces he's going to have to let the elves go and cancel Christmas gift giving. All the elves are heartbroken over this turn of events, and three of them -- Buddy, Richie, and Art -- decide to do something about it. They put together a three-piece rock & roll band, write a new song for the yuletide season, and try to pitch it to a record company, convinced the proceeds from a hit record could put Santa back in business.
