Investigative Reports: American Dream, American Nightmare
This documentary, part of the Investigative Reports series from A&E, explores the rapid growth and disturbing violence that mark the Immigration and Naturalization Service. Narrated by Investigative Reports host and producer Bill Kurtis, this video looks at how President Clinton reinvigorated this struggling government agency during his two terms in office. As the INS grew, more and more cases of mismanagement and mistreatment surfaced. The program presents interviews with INS officials who are still with the agency and others who left because of these problems. Also, some of the people who were mistreated and even abused by INS agents speak out about their horrifying experiences. ~ Cecilia Cygnar, All Movie Guide
