This documentary is narrated by James Mason and Joseph Wiseman, and explores the life of the famous Russian ex-patriate artist, Marc Chagall (1889-1985). The film includes lively interviews with him and his wife, as well as photographs of the majority of his works. At the time of this film, Chagall, who lived in France, was preparing for a retrospective exhibition of his works to be held in the Louvre, the first such exhibit ever put on for a living artist. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide
