A group of rebel patriots attempt to reclaim the Earth after aliens create an environmental disaster in this animated sci-fi saga from Japan. A band of huge, predatory aliens known as the Rodo arrive on Earth and immediately sap the world of all water and plant life, except for a tiny forest called the Holy Green, which is reserved for the use of the Rodo. In time, many desperate Earthlings swear fealty to the Rodo in order to survive, but an anti-Rodo terrorist group known as the Hazard rises up, hoping to reclaim control of the Earth's resources. A brave young man named Ran and a silver-haired girl known as Aira soon join forces, teaming up with the Hazard to defeat the Rodo and their armies.
