Gladiator Challenge
Once the domain of extreme fans and participants, caged fighting events have now become part of urban lore. Characters in popular sitcoms are contenders and movies glorify the tradition. Event organizer Ted Williams has come up with his own version of the ultimate showdown with Gladiator Challenge. Held in California, the event attracts athletes from all over. They come to compete in a no-holds-barred, bare-knuckled match to determine who is the best modern-day warrior. Gladiator Challenge had 11 pairings, including Shawn Ramage vs. Ricky Cortez, Quinten Jackson vs. Charlie West, and Mark Smith vs. Danny Tresierras. Using everything from wrestling moves to jiujitsu, the fighters demonstrate a wealth of experience. One match even ends with a surprising yet effective toehold. Though far from the bloody caged battles of the television world, Gladiator Challenge presents a tough night of extreme sports. ~ Sarah Ing, All Movie Guide
