The story has reached its happy ending for Miaka and Taka, who are married with a baby on the way. Their contented bliss is interrupted, however, by an obsessive girl who thinks that she can steal not only Taka, but their baby as well. Using the power of the Suzaku, she kidnaps the unborn child and leads Taka back to Konan. Now, Miaka is on her final mystical mission to win back the life he's fought so hard for.
