Enrique Iglesias

Enrique Iglesias

One of the most wildly successful pop singers of the early 21st century, Enrique Iglesias -- the son of crooner Julio Iglesias -- shot to fame on the basis of his self-titled debut album in 1995, and subsequently issued a string of follow-ups that netted even more formidable success, selling millions of copies around the globe. Iglesias' music mirrored the recordings of his father on many levels by showcasing an interwoven string of European, American, and Hispanic influences. In terms of filmed dramatic entertainment, Iglesias took his premier feature bow with a supporting role in the Robert Rodriguez actioner Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003). In 2007, he guest-starred on episodes of the popular CBS sitcoms Two and a Half Men and How I Met Your Mother. He also appeared that year as himself in an episode of the daytime drama The Young and the Restless, performing a track from his latest album in a fictional club on the show. ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide
