Dream Syndicate: Weathered and Torn
In 1982, after the release of their debut album The Days Of Wine and Roses, The Dream Syndicate quickly became one of the most acclaimed new bands on the American post-punk underground, and while the breakthrough to mass acceptance many predicted for them never arrived, the band bravely continued to follow its own path, growing and maturing into a consistently intelligent and powerful outfit until they finally called it quits in early 1989. The Dream Syndicate: Weathered and Torn is a video documentary that follows the band on their final tour of the United States in 1988, as Steve Wynn and his band mates share their love of guitar noises and tales of lives gone wrong with their fans across the country. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
