Discovery of Art 2: Leonardo Da Vinci
This film is part of a series that profiles some of the greatest artists from the Renaissance through the 20th century. The subject of this episode is the multi-talented Leonardo Da Vinci. Although best known for his paintings such as the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, this artist produced works of genius in a number of mediums. He was a visionary in the disciplines of engineering, aeronautics, and architecture. He dabbled in geology, hydraulics, sculpture, mathematics, and the military arts as well. The film presents some of his drawings of parachutes and flying machines that look astonishingly modern. Art historians discuss this giant of the art world while the viewer enjoys his works. ~ Rose of Sharon Winter, All Movie Guide
