Charlton Heston Presents the Bible: The Passion
This fourth and final volume in the set features acclaimed actor and two-time National Rifle Association president Charlton Heston telling the Christian Bible story about the arrest, trial, execution, and resurrection of Jesus. Heston sees the series as providing a taste of the ancient tradition of oral storytelling, which is the way many of the Bible stories were originally passed down. In addition to footage from Israel, highlights include a music score by Academy Award-winning composer Leonard Rosenman, and the Passion as portrayed by great painters. Both a priest and a rabbi have officially blessed the video production. The other volumes in the set include: Charlton Heston Presents the Bible: Genesis, Charlton Heston Presents the Bible: The Story of Moses, and Charlton Heston Presents the Bible: Jesus of Nazareth. ~ Steve Blackburn, All Movie Guide
