Blood Trap
A woman is thrown into an uneasy alliance with a felon in order to save her daughter's life in this made-for-cable thriller. Cheryl (Alexandra Paul) and Greg (Bruce Boxleitner) are the adoptive parents of Emily (Annie Bovaird), a young girl who has just been diagnosed with leukemia. Cheryl and Greg are stunned by the news, and are unsure of what to do when they're told a bone marrow transplant will be needed to save their little girl's life. The parents discover Emily's birth father is Kurt (Michael Riley), a convicted criminal; he is one of the only people with the marrow needed for Emily's treatment, but Kurt happens to have made some enemies in the mob, and in exchange for saving his daughter's life, he begins making demands that Cheryl is in no position to meet. Blood Trap was originally produced under the title Saving Emily, and was originally aired on the Lifetime cable network in 2004. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
