The Asian gambling film Bet to Basic concerns a gangster named Flying Dragon who owes a lot of unsavory types a great deal in gambling losses. Flying Dragon discovers his cousin Roy has uncanny luck at games of chance. He gets Roy to come to a casino in order to help raise the money to get Dragon out from under his creditors. Soon Roy is hobnobbing with some respected gamblers, but his lack of ambition makes it easy for him to become a pawn in the complicated machinations of very bad men. ~ Perry Seibert, All Movie Guide
