Noted German photographer Tobias Melle has married a series of striking landscape images shot in the Berchtesgaden Alps with the music of composer Richard Strauss in this haunting blend of sound and image. Alpine Symphony in Images features an inspired performance of Strauss's "Eine Alpensinfonie," performed by the Swiss Tonhall Orchestra (under the direction of David Zinman), which is combined with Melle's spectacular photography to create the ideal visual compliment for these sounds. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
