Martin Simpson is a successful acoustic guitarist who has played with a number of other outstanding performers in his native England and the United States. On this third video in a three-tape series, Simpson provides instruction for students at the intermediate to advanced level. He begins his teaching by playing "My Generous Lover." He then moves on to "Betsy the Serving Maid," first teaching the basic melody before demonstrating how students can add other elements such as bass notes, harmonies, chordal structure, and percussive beats.
