Based on Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 universe, Space Marine is a third-person shooter that pits elite human soldiers against two deadly factions: the feral Orks and the shadowy Chaos. You take command of Captain Titus of the Ultramarines, who must defend a strategically critical weapons-producing planet from falling into enemy hands. Both shooting and melee combat are supported, with players able to seamlessly switch between fighting styles simply by tapping a button. Defeating enemies will earn your character "fury," which can be used to trigger more powerful ranged or melee attacks.     Perfect game to play. Not to strong in the language but blood and gore is a go in this game. good melee and cool weapons but overall a little repetitive. Kill kill kill is the objective in this game.

    I thought the game dragged on for a bit and, unlike Gears of War 3, I really didn't have that much invested in the characters. Overall, though, it's a wonderful representation of the Warhammer 40k universe.

    @Ben W., you have it backwards. Gears of War ripped off the Warhammer40k universe to come up with its setting and weapons. Starcraft borrows heavily from Warhammer40k as well. GOW the video game came before the Space Marine game, but GOW was inspired by WH40k's setting first. That all being said, this game was still a poor man's Gears of War in terms of game play. The game play is very repetitive and goes on too long. If it was a 2 or 3 hour game it might've been fine.
