You can't help but love the characters and want the best for them. You'll alternate between laughing and crying (the way you're supposed to when watching a great romantic comedy). Salma is beautiful - Matthew is adorable - and the music score is perfect. I've watched it again and again. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Selma Hayek does a great job with her part! Cute illustrations of the differences Perry's and Hayek's character's backgrounds. Use of color made film vivid and beautiful.
Sweet little comedy with enough drama to make it moving. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Not a bad movie if you're in an airplane watching on a postage stamp size screen 30 feet away, but pretty simple fare. Mindless romantic comedy, good date movie if you plan on making out from right after the opening credits to the cast scroll at the end. Perry is adequate but too much "Chaldler" from Friends, and Hayek is under-utilized. She's a tremendous actor in a mindless roll. Like asking Pavorotti singing rugby songs with a beer bong in his hand: no big stretch but a poor use of such talent. Hayek is, however, absolutely beautiful. Not enough to save this one, though. This could have (and should have) been a 30 minute movie. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

They only let us use 1000 letters in our description. So after spending all this time typing and then having to re-type it I will just say that this movie is this mans dream on the Big screen. It is funny, loving and my friend's wife gets teary eyed every time she watches it. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More At first glance the movie seems like a chick flick, and that glance would be right, but it has some great moments and some very funny parts that kept me from puking at the sappy scenes. Let's face it, Perry is pretty much Chandler in anything he's in, and Hayek is frikken hot, but both put on great performances for this type of movie. Normally I'd pass on these types of films, but this one seems to offer more than your average love movie. I dunno, it entertains me, and that's hard to find these days. I liked it.
