Kinky sex and violence abounds in this sophisticated soft-core exploitation thriller about the twisted relationship between a prominent LA attorney's lonely, bored wife, and a freewheeling artist who soon after they begin their affair persuades her to sleep with assorted strangers. When she figures out his sick game, she dumps him. Later a homicide detective tells the woman that he and his partner think that the artist is a brutal serial killer. Meanwhile the artist, who has videotaped her sexploits, begins blackmailing her with the threat of telling her husband. Then she learns that her husband is the mastermind behind the whole situation with the artist because he wants her to get into S&M with him. Matthew (Richard Norton) lives in the year 2025 in the aftermath of the collapse of civilization. At a remote temple in the desert he discovers the head of the spear a Roman soldier is said to have poked into the side of Jesus as he hung on the cross. This magical artifact enables Matthew to travel back in time to 1986, when the film was made. His mission is to join the spearhead with the missing shaft, which, according to legend, will give him the power to prevent the holocaust which led to the collapse of civilization. Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello not only starred in the delightfully "retro" Back to the Beach, but also served as executive producers. Appropriately set 25 years after such drive-in faves as Beach Blanket Bingo, the film finds Frankie and Annette as husband and wife, living far from the surf 'n' sand in Ohio. Heading to California to visit their daughter Lori Loughlin, Frankie and Annette are appalled to learn that she has been keeping time with punker Tommy Hinkley. In time-honored fashion, our hero and heroine set about to make the beach safe for funlovers everywhere by driving out Hinkley's unsavory pals. Along the way, Frankie nearly bollixes up his marriage by dallying with Connie Stevens-one of several pop-culture icons appearing in Back to the Beach, including Don Adams, Bob Denver, Jerry Mathers, Tony Dow, Dick Dale & the Del-Tones , Stevie Ray Vaughan, and even Pee-wee Herman! Benjy Taylor (D.B. Sweeney) is a rookie cop who goes undercover to nab a gang of car thieves in this routine crime drama. Taylor salivates over the lifestyle and money enjoyed by Ted Varrick (Charlie Sheen), the smooth operator who leads the Porsche pilferers, and he reports back to Lieutenant Vincent Bracey (Randy Quaid), who is convinced Ted is a cop killer but needs more proof. Taylor joins the gang and begins to justify car theft and the money it brings as gathering evidence. A softcore, low-budget film with no pretentions to a viable plot or character development, Reform School Girls just proceeds along the foul-mouthed, suggestive lines of its genre without anything new to add. Charlie (Wendy O. Williams, who committed suicide in April of 1998, at the age of 48) runs a reform school along with fat Edna (Pat Ast) and the tough warden Sutter (Sybil Danning) whose quotes from the Bible have little effect on her co-workers. As new inmates are intimidated into sexual acts and everybody generally wanders around in as little as possible, it does not take a genius to figure out that sex is the main protagonist in this blue film. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi

In this teen-sex laugher, a high-school Romeo is killed in a car accident but is able to return to life for a 24-hour period. During this time he chases after his dreamboat only to find she's not interested.
