Acting upon information supplied by a grieving mother (Katherine Cannon), Hunter (Fred Dryer) investigates the reported murder of the woman's child. What makes this case particularly perplexing is the fact that the youngster's death occurred 17 years ago. Meanwhile, Molenski (Darlanne Fluegel) champions the cause of a beleaguered police informer (Seth Isler) whose last few tips have turned out to be bogus. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Hear No Evil, while based on the interesting premise of a deaf woman stalked by a relentless killer, is a well-crafted but predictable mystery thriller. Jillian (Marlee Matlin), a physical trainer is unknowingly given a valuable stolen coin. The theft of the coin was planned by a corrupt and sadistic police lieutenant (Martin Sheen) who needs the coin to fund his retirement, and he pursues Jillian in order to get it. Director Robert Greenwald, who also directed The Burning Bed, does a good job in showing the victim's courage and resourcefulness in her desperate situation. Matlin is good as Jillian, and does not use her deafness as a crutch to generate sympathy but portrays Jillian as an independent and strong woman. The plot gets bogged down with too many cliched twists and subplots, including a romance which slows the movie and adds nothing of interest in the development of the characters and their motivations. Hear No Evil, similar in theme to the excellent Wait Until Dark, lacks the focus and intensity necessary in a good thriller and wastes its excellent cast. ~ Linda Rasmussen, Rovi

Fresh out of prostate surgery, Andy Sipowicz (Dennis Franz) returns to active duty -- only to be sidelined by an accident. This brings him back into contact with the troublesome Henry Coffield (Willie Garson) -- who, once again, is a prime suspect. Elsewhere, an immunity agreement may impede justice in a child slaying, and former PAA Naomi (Gabrielle Fitzpatrick) visits the precinct with some good news (for a change). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

This episode marks the first time that twin infants Jason and Kristopher Simmons are given screen credit for sharing the role of baby Wyatt. While attending a non-magical preschool, Wyatt begins talking to himself, much to the dismay of his father, Leo (Brian Krause). Although the teacher is convinced that it is perfectly normal for Wyatt to have an "imaginary friend," the child is actually in danger of being possessed by a deceptively mild-mannered demon named Vicus (Marcus Chait). In their efforts to rescue baby Wyatt, the Charmed Ones inadvertently conjure up the 25-year-old "future" Wyatt (Wesley A. Ramsey). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
