Lust, jealousy, and murder lead an adulterous couple down a dangerous path in this drama. Michelle (Samantha Phillips) is the young wife of veteran crime kingpin Antonelli (Kevin Wickham). Bored with her husband, Michelle falls into an affair with her chauffeur; when Antonelli gets wind of this, he hires a gunman to kill the driver. Both frightened and enraged by Antonelli's actions, Michelle hires Robert (James Patrick Keefe) to look into her husband's affairs. Soon Robert and Michelle become attracted to each other and decide to take Antonelli out of the picture, but they haven't counted on the extent of his power and influence. Night and the City is a remake of the 1950 Richard Widmark vehicle of the same name. Major changes: As played by Robert DeNiro, the Widmark character, one Harry Fabian, is no longer merely a two-bit tout but instead a two-bit lawyer; and the film is set in New York, as opposed to the London setting of the original. While embroiled in a lawsuit involving a boxer, Fabian becomes fascinated in the world of championship prizefights. Always susceptible to get-rich-quick schemes, Fabian tries to organize his own big boxing event, but to do that he needs the help of hardnosed promoter Alan King--and to get to King, Fabian uses the promoter's father, former boxer Jack Warden, to act as front man. Fabian scurries around lying and double-dealing in order to sell percentages of the upcoming bout, while King warns Fabian of the consequences should anything unfortunate happen to the ailing Warden. Disaster plagues Fabian as his boxers fail to pass their physicals, and Warden dies while setting up the big event. Pursued by King and his creditors, the terrified Fabian is urged by girlfriend Jessica Lange to get of town. Instead, Fabian decides to face up to his failings for the first time in his life, and stands his ground for the final, fatal confrontation. Cheerleader Camp, a routine teen slasher film, follows the adventures of a group of teenage girls who go away to a cheerleader camp for the summer. Alison Betsy Russell, one of the group, is having nightmares. Brent, her boyfriend, has followed her to the camp but really seems more interested in the other girls. When those girls are found murdered, Alison believes she may be the killer. This low-budget family film is a sequel to the equally parsimonious Goldy, the Last of the Golden Bears (1984). The story in the original film concerned the efforts by a pro-eco family to save the titular bear from human predators. Evidently they succeed, else there wouldn't have been a Goldy 2. Once again, the story takes place in the High Sierras, where once again the Golden Goldy is befriended by humans, or more specifically, a human, a cute orphan girl. Returning the first film's favor, Goldy protects the little moppet from harm, paving the way for yet another sequel, 1994's Magic of the Golden Bear: Goldy III. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

This dark comedy finds Charlie (Charles Pfulger) traveling to stay at the house of his fiancee's parents two days before his wedding to Josephine (Jill Clayburgh). With his two friends, he discusses Vietnam, the sexual revolution, black power, and compares bachelor life to that of a married man. Charlie tries to talk Josephine's former suitor into resuming his quest, is propositioned by the church organist, and misses his own bachelor party before finally making to the wedding at the insistence of his friends.
