Directed by Gyula Gulyas, Feny Hull Arcodra ("Light Falls on Your Face") is based on a short story written by Transylvanian poet Laszlo Kiraly, and follows a couple whose attraction to one another grows as the city around them decays after a lost war. Both dressed in military attire, a man (Lorand Vata) and woman (Klara Tampa) have found a widowed schoolteacher (Jozef Biro) willing to allow them to spend the night in his house. The haunted pasts of both characters are revealed through a series of flashbacks--Vata's character has miraculously escaped from a shooting squad, and Tampa spent her childhoold in a much happier era of the now war-torn town. These shared experiences, despite their grim nature, only prove to aide in the love building between the couple.
