To Indian audiences, the plot of Izhaar was standard stuff. Once again, the course of true love has a bumpy ride thanks to a greedy landlord. The landlord's son, destined for a wealthy marriage, has the gall to fall in love with a poor girl. The enraged father then contrives to have the girl murdered.
