Cosby Show regular Phylicia Rashad stars as a New Orleans assistant DA in the made-for-TV False Witness. Philip Michael Thomas (Miami Vice) plays Rashad's associate--and also her lover. Polarized by sexual stereotyping, Rashad and Thomas clash over the case of the vicious slashing of a talk-show hostess. Thomas' hostile attitude towards the victim leads Rashad to believe that somehow he was involved in the attack--and the trail of evidence seems to confirm her suspicions. Either way, this is the story of a smooth lothario, played by Barry Bostwick. In the course of 97 minutes, Bostwick finds time to romance and betray four women, played by Linda Purl, Coleen Camp, Erin Grey and Dee Wallace-Stone.
