Ruth Warren (Jessica Dublin) is a former movie star who hopes to restore her youthful beauty in this low-budget horror feature. She funds the research of Dr. Gregory Ashton (John MacKay), who develops a serum that reverses the aging process, and she willingly volunteers to become a human laboratory rat and takes the serum. The rejuvenated woman dubs herself Elizabeth (Vivian Lanko). What she doesn't know is that Ashton robs the brains of dead bodies to get the chemical needed for the formula, and the side effects turn monstrous for Elizabeth who resorts to murder in her lust for human brains. A motorcycle gang invades a small desert town, terrorizing everyone. Nobody's able to stop them until an ex-Vietnam combat hero (Lance Henriksen) arrives to visit a friend (George Kennedy). In this undistinguished, derivative slasher movie, a homicidal maniac is accidentally released from a hospital because of a computer error and heads to the site (a sorority) of his past murders to continue his penchant for mayhem. The good but obviously witless Dr. Joan Gilmore takes off after him while the villainous hospital administrators cover up the mistake and send some staff thugs out to get both the doctor and the escaped lunatic. New York Nights is a boring, poorly acted adaptation of the much more successful La Ronde by Max Ophül -- ironically barred for four years by the New York State censorship board when it was first released in 1950. The story sequence is the key to the film; nine episodes each have a character from the preceding episode in a new romantic liaison, until the last character ends up with the one at the beginning. These nine scenarios are somewhere below the suds of soap-opera and above the explicit sex of porn movies. Many different directors in different countries have tried their own versions of La Ronde (based on a play by Arthur Schnitzler with much more success than this version by Simon Nuchtern. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, All Movie Guide

One of the movement stalwarts is a mad-scientist type, and she has developed a way to make men pregnant.
