The daughter (Abigail Wolcott) of the owner of a ghost-town tourist attraction was killed by strangers, and the owner bears a serious grudge to those who are his bread and butter. So much so, that when he runs across a crystal that revivifies corpses and turns them into monsters or worse, he uses it on his newly dead daughter. When she is revived, she looks normal, and is able to lure unsuspecting victims to the man's town where he can then chop them up. In this horror thriller, a group of college students on a lark come to the town with predictable results. Fortunately for the hero (Ron Palillo), the dead girl still has some human feelings left. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide

Essentially a knock-off of the "Police Academy" series, this slapstick comedy tells the idiotic tale that contains humor to offend just about everyone as it tells the story of a milque-toast cop who moonlights at night as a paper-bag wearing stand-up comic who unfortunately gets mistaken for a paper-bag wearing bank robber. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide

The short-lived roller-disco craze of the late 1970s served as inspiration for this dated comedy, which follows the patrons of a popular roller-disco palace as they prepare for a major race. Naturally, the climactic showdown features a wholesome, upright hero (Greg Bradford) facing the fearsome challenge of a leather-clad villain (a pre-fame Patrick Swayze). ~ Judd Blaise, All Movie Guide

When a sex scandal threatens to blow the top off Washington politics, celebrated madame and advice columnist Xaviera Hollander (Joey Heatherton) is drawn into the fray. The hooker at the center of the controversy is a friend, and when the girl conveniently disappears, Xaviera is outraged. Meanwhile, a group of senators attempts to deflect public attention from themselves by holding a series of hearings on sexual excesses in American society. They decide to scapegoat "The Happy Hooker" for her well-publicized exploits, and she is subpoenaed as a hostile witness in their crusade against loose values. Though Xaviera isn’t concerned, her attorney (George Hamilton) warns her that vital issues of censorship and personal freedom are at stake. They fly to Washington D.C., where Xaviera’s irreverent testimony breathes some life into the stuffy proceedings. She tweaks the sensibilities of the senators (David White, Phil Foster, Jack Carter and Ray Walston) and holds their hypocrisy up to the daylight. Halfway through the hearings, Xaviera is kidnapped by an undercover CIA agent (Billy Barty) and pressed into service for her country. She is secretly sent to Miami to seduce a politically important (and impotent) Arabian sheik (Jerry Fischer), and while doing her duty discovers the missing hooker among his harem. Xaviera returns to Washington and triumphantly discredits the senate sub-committee by exposing its members as perverts and white slavers, thus saving erotic freedom for Americans everywhere. Joe E. Ross, Larry Storch and Rip Taylor are among the celebrities who make cameos in this mild ribaldry. ~ Fred Beldin, All Movie Guide

Brilliant surgeon Dr. Frank N. Stein (John Hart) employs a new experimental technique on horribly-wounded Vietnam veteran EddieTurner (Joe De Sue), combining restorative surgery to his limbs with injections of altered DNA. Problems arise when Stein's assistant becomes insanely jealous of Ed's girlfriend and switches the DNA injections, resulting in Eddie's transformation into a lumbering monster with a cylindrical Afro and a fondness for attacking scantily-clad women and popping off people's heads like champagne corks. A poorly-conceived attempt to put a "blaxploitation" spin on another classic horror pantheon (in the mode of the far-superior Blacula released the previous year), this film emphasizes crude exploitation at the expense of creativity, leaving only a gory, misogynist mess. ~ Cavett Binion, All Movie Guide
Stunt-man and action star Richard Talmadge starred in the title role of this silly action melodrama produced by Phil Goldstone and directed by William K. Howard. Talmadge played a carefree young man who must prove his business acumen in order to marry George A. Williams' pretty daughter, Dorothy Woods. A romantic rival, S.E. Jennings, does his level best to insure Talmadge's failure. A busy poverty row producer, Phil Goldstone kept also-ran stars such as Talmadge and William Fairbanks extremely busy throughout the '20s. ~ Hans J. Wollstein, All Movie Guide

- Richard Talmadge, Dorothy Woods, (more)
