A syphilis outbreak rocks an upscale suburban high school in this made-for-cable movie. Freshman Hannah Vogul (Alexis Dziena) does everything her loving parents (Marcia Gay Harden and Gary Hudson) want: excels at music, makes good grades, and always tells the truth. That all changes when Hannah falls for the attentions of campus stud Nick Hartman (Mike Erwin). Supremely confident, the boy successfully pressures her to fellate him on their second date, then unsuccessfully invites her to an orgy for their third. Soon Dawn (Miriam McDonald), one of Nick's countless other conquests, confesses that she's contracted syphilis, which sets off an investigation by horrified public-health officials. When Hannah turns out to be one of dozens of infected students, her mother joins the crusade to bring their parents together and confront the underaged partying and casual sex that have led their children to this predicament. But with Hannah's self-esteem rocked by Nick's rejection and the ostracism of her peers, it may be too late to save her. She's Too Young premiered in February 2004 on the Lifetime cable network. Erin (Dina Meyer) is a young actress who has enjoyed little success in her profession and even less in her love life. All goes smoothly until someone begins making threatening phone calls to Erin. Can her stalker be an ex-client, her sex-hungry boss, or her new boyfriend--or someone that no one, but no one, would ever suspect? In the tradition of the previous "backstage" TV movies about such iconic series as Batman, The Partridge Family, Gilligan's Island, and The Brady Bunch, this NBC effort promised to give the lowdown on the long-running (1977-1984) ABC sitcom Three's Company. In truth, there is little in this film that was not already common knowledge when it first aired on May 12, 2003, but it's still fun to see a cast of attractive actors portraying another cast of attractive actors. In case anyone needs reminding, Three's Company was the popular tickle-and-tease comedy series based upon the British Man About the House, in which a virile young heterosexual man was forced to pose as a homosexual so that he could remain the roommate of two sexy young ladies. It was perhaps the quintessential "jiggle" sitcom, thanks primarily to its well-endowed co-star Suzanne Somers (here played by Judy Tylor). Because of its risqué (but basically inoffensive) content, Three's Company was turned down by both NBC and CBS before ambitious ABC CEO Fred Silverman (played by Brian Dennehy) decided to take a chance on the property. The rest, as they say, is history, with Three's Company not only setting ratings records but also establishing a whole new threshold for what was and wasn't acceptable in network prime time. Inevitably, the show collapsed under its own weight, especially after the revolving-door cast changes which followed in the wake of the acrimonious defection of Suzanne Somers, but it was fun while it lasted. For the record, the other Three's Company stars were the multi-talented John Ritter (played by Bret Anthony) and the underrated Joyce DeWitt (Melanie Deane-Moore). The actual Joyce DeWitt also appears as herself in this movie, serving as narrator and sidelines commentator. Though the film often pulls its punches regarding the original series' backstage intrigues and legal entanglements, there is enough authentic detail remaining to satisfy the casual sitcom buff. Dirk Longstreet is back, and he's madder than ever. Longstreet (French action figure Olivier Gruner), a college professor who is a retired martial arts champion, is called into service when his girlfriend, the ambitious reporter Nicole Kent (softcore veteran Gail Harris), is caught by the corrupt guards of a corrupt prison run by a corrupt warden as she captures on video the corrupt kickboxing-to-the-death contests staged for the amusement of the prisoners. They let a very large prisoner, Pike (Jim Shagen), have his way with her (off camera, thankfully). As the now-comatose Nicole hangs onto life in a hospital, Longstreet, with the help of a newspaper reporter (Lorenzo Lamas) and his editor (Jalal Merhi), shaves his head and goes into the prison to bring the villains to their knees, and if he has to break them first, all the better. ~ Buzz McClain, All Movie Guide

This made-for-cable docudrama stars Penelope Ann Miller as the infamous Mary Kay Letourneau, the married-with-children Seattle schoolteacher who made national headlines when she had an affair with one of her sixth-grade students, 13-year-old Vili Fualaau (Omar Anguiano). Landing in jail on a statutory rape charge, and ultimately bearing Fualaau's baby, Letourneau is released with a warning to stay away from her youthful inamorta. But she is unable to do so, and the result is another out-of-wedlock baby by the same young man. The teleplay, by Julie Herbert, suggests that Letourneau's inability to control her emotions and impules stemeed from her relationship with her mother, a woman who regarded any sign of affection as a form of weakness. Ultimately, however, Mary Kay Letourneau remains an enigma, and it is up to the viewer to determine whether her behavior was motivated by true love or by a psychotic need for "approval". This family-friendly adventure comedy is the directorial-debut of filmmaker Richard Stanley (Fly Boy). Starring Asher Metchik and Samuel Gifaldi, the film follows a group of young friends as they search for a hidden pirate's treasure and get a lesson or two about friendship along the way. While Monica recalls with embarrassment how her well-meaning efforts to calm the populace only made matters worse, Leonard looks back in despair at a devastating personal tragedy.
