1967

April and Mark head to London to persuade charity worker Major Stellal (Hermione Gingold) to assume her rightful place as heir to the throne of a European dukedom. Unfortunately, the Major's unsavory gangster-cousin Soyil Irosian (Broderick Crawford) wants to gain control of the dukedom in order to exploit its casino-gambling industry -- and Soyil will stop at nothing to achieve his goal. Others in the cast include Renzo Cesana (early TV's The Continental) as a diplomat, former "Bowery Boy" Stanley Clements as Wayne, and Leonid Kinskey as Enzo Cannaloni. Written by Berne Giler and David Giler, "The Low Blue C Affair" originally aired on February 28, 1967. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

In this broad and unsubtle spoof of The Maltese Falcon, comedian Bill Dana is cast as used-car salesman Marvin Klump, whose name is mistakenly linked with information as to the whereabouts of "Project Quasimodo," a mini-nuclear bomb. Kidnapped by T.H.R.U.S.H. agents Rodney Backstreet (Oscar Beregi) and Beirut (Vito Scotti), Klump is whisked off to the Swiss Alps, with U.N.C.L.E. men Solo and Illya in hot pursuit. Also appearing is Norma Chase as Marvin's nonplussed sister, Heather. Written by David Giler, "The Matterhorn Affair" first aired on March 3, 1967. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
