When a quiet retirement community is overrun by a gang of drug-smuggling bikers, their leader, Kincade (Werner Hoetzinger), expects to set up his illegal operation with little difficulty. However, when the locals decide to fight back, he could be up against more resistance than he bargained for. ~ Iotis Erlewine, All Movie Guide
An angry widow dons her ninja gear and takes off for revenge against the gangster who killed her husband in this lively martial arts actioner that revels in its deliberately, deliciously awful tongue-in-cheek dialog that takes a sharp poke at the genre. While the black widow kicks and chops her way to vengeance against the evil villain "White Powder's" gang, police officers Lee Ann Jackson and Lester McQueen stalk her while simultaneously trying to clean up the other trash that litters the streets of their city. In the explosive final conclusion, White Powder meets Mr. Big in the ubiquitous empty warehouse to finalize a major drug deal. Unbeknownst to either of them, the ninja-girl got there first and planted a little surprise for them. In the end, the two crooks get their just desserts, the cops get demoted, and the widow flees to Mexico. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
This is a dull, by-the-book actioner whose only merit is a good performance by actress Akosua Busia, later nominated for an Academy Award for her work in The Color Purple. When Karen, the daughter of a well-heeled businessman (Troy Donahue) has been swallowed up by a religious cult, her father hires ex-cop Joe Wong (Leo Fong) to bring her back safe and sound. Before tackling this assignment, Wong spends a lot of time in a Darwinian process of natural selection, weeding out the tough guys who will go in with him to rescue Karen. Their chief nemesis is blind cult leader Yarakunda (Cameron Mitchell) and his sharp assistant Karma (Akosua Busia). ~ Eleanor Mannikka, All Movie Guide

The remote stiff acting of the policemen and detectives in this police action film, combined with the emphasis on gore and blood, leaves a large blank space between the two extremes of boring or violent. Lt. James Long (martial arts expert Leo Fong) is on the trail of some gunrunners who have stolen weapons from the National Armory in L.A. and are selling them to the highest local bidders. The chief gun honcho (Cameron Mitchell) is a crazed killer who is obsessed with torturing and then murdering women. Just by coincidence, Lt. Long's wife was brutally raped and murdered and he is out to avenge her death at all costs. Actual policemen and members of the coroner's office portray themselves in this film, at least guaranteeing an audience of family and friends. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, All Movie Guide

In this exciting actioner, a former Army Ranger sits in prison awaiting his execution when an international peacekeeping organization frees him and assigns him to bust up a deadly spy ring. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
Despite an amusing premise -- five blind men commit a bank robbery -- this Filipino crime film fails to rise above its low-budget blaxploitation look. D'Urville Martin (Dolemite) and Fred Williamson are the main draws, but only devoted fans will want to sit through this one. After 1974's outrageously silly The Killing of Satan, this was a letdown from director Efron C. Pinon. ~ Robert Firsching, All Movie Guide

Manuel G. Songo directs Ron Marchini and Leo Fong in the martial arts action film Murder in the Orient. Marchini plays an American agent who, with the help of a wise martial arts teacher (Fong) hunts down a pair of samurai swords that are worth millions of dollars. ~ Perry Seibert, All Movie Guide
