Making great fun of the '70s, this lively sci-fi comedy centers on a trio of time travellers who go into the past in hopes of retrieving the Constitution to celebrate America's 300th birthday. Unfortunately, the travelers end up in 1976 not 1776. The trouble is, they don't realize it. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi

This blood-soaked shocker seems to waver between standard horror and black comedy as it tells the tale of a young man who is so plagued by terrifying nightmares of a haunted prison that he is unable to function normally during the day. To understand the dreams, he goes to a dream interpreter who tells him the prison is the abandoned Alcatraz and that to stop the dreams, he must go there to face his fear. The young man brings a few skeptical friends with him. Once in the notorious, empty prison, the visage of a late rock star appears and explains the situation. Apparently the place is being haunted by the vile ghost of a US cavalry officer who enjoyed eating human flesh. The dead rocker then explains that the young man needs to destroy the demon before it kills again. Unfortunately, the creature has already begun possessing and killing the fellow's friends one-by-one. The soundtrack features music from Devo. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi

Valley boys take on the punk rockers in this teen-age adventure. This time they use skateboards instead of zip guns, knives and fists. The rich Valley kids, "The Ramp Locals," are led by Corey Webster, while the leather-clad, street-wise punks follow Tommy Hook. The trouble begins when Corey falls in love with Tommy's little sister who has come from Indiana for a visit. The rivalry between the gangs culminates during the grueling "LA Massacre," a 20-mile downhill skateboarding race. The winning team will earn a corporate sponsor. For the final race, the filmmakers strapped a camera in front of a skateboard to give viewers a sense of the thrills experienced by the daring "thrashers." ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi
