In this adventurous sword and sandal epic, the muscle-bound offspring of the famous strongman tries to stop the wicked Egyptian queen from continuing to terrorize her subjects. She does this as she prepares to turn her country over to the Persians. She is also trying to force her handsome stepson, a good friend of Samson, Jr., to marry her. Samson gets involved after he comes to her city to search for his pal. Using his extraordinary strength, the young hero manages to defeat the queen's troops. This leads the queen to use her seductive powers on the man, but he is not interested. Angered, the queen throws him into a dungeon. Fortunately, he escapes and leads a slave revolt. Mayhem ensues until the wicked ruler tumbles into a deep pit filled with hungry crocodiles. This leaves the step-son to assume the throne. The plot concerns Ursus' attempts to rescue his kidnapped fiancee, aided by a pretty blind slave girl. Now an evil queen, Ursus' former love throws him into a gladiatorial arena with a bull, which manages to smack the slave girl in the head and restore her eyesight before Ursus defeats it and his enemies. The bullfight is particularly well-staged, and this exciting spectacle may be the highlight of Fury's erratic screen career. ~ Robert Firsching, All Movie Guide

In this adventure set in 6th-century France, two warring tribes call a temporary truce so that the daughter of the Gepidaen king can marry the king of Lombard. Unfortunately, the willful princess doesn't want to marry the king because she is betrothed to another (she has also been impregnated by him, but that is her secret). Her fiancé is imprisoned until she finally agrees to marry the king. Treachery ensues and culminates in a terrible battle. American film actor Lex Barker spent the bulk of his professional career hunting up jobs in Europe. In Captain Falcon, Barker plays the title character, a do-gooding high seas swashbuckler. Rossana Rory is the heroine, whose tiny country is threatened by a gang of marauders headed by Massimo Serato. Captain Falcon saves the day, and a few nights as well. La Mano Della Morta was released in certain English-speaking territories as The Dead Woman's Hand. It's a period melodrama, distinguished by Byzantine plot complications and operatic acting. The protagonist, played by Mery Martin, is an embittered young woman who hopes to avenge her mother's murder. All the usual trappings are in evidence, including poison, secret passages, hastily scribbled messages and sinister servants.
