In this comedy, Louis de Funes is a top restaurant critic, the head of an important French culinary guide. At the beginning of the film, he and his son (Coluche) are at odds, as the son prefers working as a circus clown to studying the fine arts of gastronomy. The two join forces, however, to thwart the greedy owner of a chain of inferior restaurants, who plans to take over the finest restaurants in France and substitute his formulaic fodder for real cooking. Another lure bringing the son into the picture is a lovely secretary working for the guide. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide

This Spanish horror film (which has developed a cult following among Eurotrash enthusiasts) follows a group of itinerant workers who travel to a small village where they've been told domestic workers are in great demand. However, when their bus driver dies along the way, several begin to suspect that something odd is going on, and while the new arrivals are welcomed with open arms, enough seems amiss that many of the group are certain of foul play. As it turns out, the newcomers have every right to be suspicious, as they've been lured into a village populated entirely by hungry cannibals and thirsty vampires. Orgy of the Vampires was directed by Leon Klimovsky, who also helmed several of Paul Naschy's werewolf outings, with Jack Taylor in the leading role. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

Distraught werewolf Waldemar Daninski (played by Spain's most popular horror movie star Paul Naschy) becomes so desperate to find a cure for his lunar-influenced affliction that he visits occult shopkeepers to find a cure. Unfortunately, those who seem anxious to help him turn out to be ruthless bloodsuckers. Originally filmed in 3-D, this film was a major hit in Spain. Before getting US released it had 45 minutes hacked away and was transferred to regular two-dimensional films. Naschy, using his birth name Jacinto Molina, wrote the script. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide

Also known as Cauldron of Blood, Blind Man's Bluff is a Spanish-made horror film long on gore but short on logic. Several beautiful models have disappeared, and the prime suspect is blind sculptor Boris Karloff, a surly and secretive sort who produces skeletal statues. Lovely model Rosanda Monteros tries to get to the bottom of the mystery, and of course nearly winds up a victim herself. The killer is not Karloff but his wife Viveca Lindfors, who hopes to sustain her husband's reputation by providing fresh skeletons for his artwork. Lindfors ends up hoisted on her own petard when she accidentally dips her arm in a vat of acid. Yeccch. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Guy Madison has a high old time as a would-be feudal baron in the Wild West. No one is willing to stand up to Madison and his henchmen-no one, that is, except mild-mannered inventor Tom Bosley. It seems that Bosley has welded together a robot gunslinger, whom he calls "The Bang Bang Kid". Only trouble is, the "Kid" breaks down at the darnedest times. The film goes off in too many directions, but generally delivers the goods laugh-wise. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
