Frankie Chan Fan-kei directs and stars in this tight-scripted gangster thriller yarn. The film opens with the triad clan's patriarch getting whacked by his brother Chau Hsiong (Ko Chuen-hisang). With the leadership of the family up in the air, Chau tries to enlist the help of his vacillating nephew, Wai (Miu Kiu-wai), to help him knock off Tat-hwa (Simon Yam Tat-wah), the patriarch's son and family heir apparent. Yet when the family matron learns of Chau's evil schemes, she orders a hit out on him. Chau manages to escape, but his son and daughter aren't so lucky. Simon Yam Tat-wah stars in this action flick as two men named Chow -- Chow Tak-kan is a nebbish geek with bad teeth while Chow Man-heng is a slick confidence man. When the latter is being chased by the cops following a botched robbery, he plows into a car driven by the former. In the chaos that ensues, one Chow dies gruesomely while the other is injured, leaving his features horribly obscured. The police are convinced that the survivor is Man-heng and insist that he committed the robbery in spite of the patient's strenuous objections. Soon Chow finds himself in a mental hospital with cops itching for a confession and a band of gangsters looking for Man-heng's ill-gotten loot. ~ Jonathan Crow, All Movie Guide

Philip Chan spins this low-budget gangland saga shot and set in New York's Chinatown. Brothers Mickey and Paul Lee (Simon Yam and Tam Pak-pan respectively) arrive in the Big Apple with two wildly different ambitions. While Mickey simply wants a study and get ahead, Paul wants to become a big-name drug dealer. When Mickey accidentally runs afoul of local Chinese gang The Red Eagles, Paul joins their rival, The Dragons. When a couple members of Red Eagles jump Mickey, he is saved by his brother who kills a few of the assailants and then flees to Toronto. Realizing that he must stand up for himself, Mickey rallies together some of his like-minded friends and lays waste to the Red Eagle's HQ. Impressed by his bravado, Chan (Ouitan Han) grants Mickey some gangland turf, while arranging for Paul to be killed.
