A Marine platoon fights to prevent the city of Los Angeles from being overtaken by a race of highly advanced alien invaders in this epic sci-fi action thriller from director Jonathan Liebesman (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning) and producer Neal H. Moritz (I Am Legend, Fast & Furious). After decades of speculation about life on other planets, the people of Earth discover that extraterrestrials really do exist when destruction rains down from the stars on cities all across the globe. When the alien warships descend upon Los Angeles, however, the ferocious invaders discover that humankind won't go down without a fight as a gruff Marine staff sergeant (Aaron Eckhart) and his fearless troop of jarheads point their weapons skyward and make one last stand for the entire human race. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Noah Melville (Malcolm McDowell) teaches classical literature at a liberal arts college. An upstanding family man who's admired by his colleagues and beloved by his students, Noah runs a clandestine prostitution ring that helps his pretty female students keep up on their steadily-rising tuition payments. But when one suspect, slimy millionaire Cameron Morris (Timothy Bottoms) is cleared, Noah's whole world starts to crumble at the hands of crusading cop Patrick Kelly (Angus MacFadyen), recently demoted to a desk job due to his heavy-handed policing style. His criminal enterprise exposed before the entire community, Noah becomes a fugitive from justice, and enters into a treacherous game of cat and mouse with the righteous detective. The CBS sitcom Rules of Engagement chronicled the rituals of dating, marriage and commitment, as seen through the eyes of two couples and their single friend. Former Dawson's Creek costars Adam Hudson and Biance Kajlich were respectively cast as Adam and Jennifer, who became engaged in the very first episode, much to the dismay of Adam's acerbic bachelor pal Russell, played in typical David Spade fashion by David Spade. Adam and Jennifer were subsequently befriended by Jeff (Patrick Warburton) and Audrey (Megyn Price), who after 12 years of marriage regarded themselves as experts on the subject of matrimonial harmony (though they seldom practiced what they preached!) Coproduced by comic actor Adam Sandler, Rules of Engagement premiered February 5, 2007, but despite its strong opening (its lead-in was the popular Two and a Half Men, the series was placed on hiatus as of March 19. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
