Nice girl falls for bad boy and lives to regret it in this independent coming of age drama. Katie (Megan Wilson) is a high school student who's bright, pretty, and has never been in any serious trouble. That changes when she meets Boyd (Brian Vaughan), who is handsome and charming, but also a magnet for trouble, often on the run from the police and a bit reckless in his use of drugs. Despite his dangerous side, Katie finds herself infatuated with Boyd, and they strike up a friendship that soon grows into a romance. However, the more deeply Katie becomes involved with Boyd, the farther she's drawn into the dark side of his world, and it becomes obvious that she needs to give him up for her own good. TV weatherperson Monica (Roma Downey) and cameraman Andrew (John Dye) are on hand when hard-driving investigative journalist Rocky McCann (Kay Lenz) looks into rumors of child abuse in a foster home run by retired couple Horace and Zelda Wittenberg (John Randolph, Peg Phillips). Though Monica thinks that Rocky's motivations are honorable, Andrew does not--and as for the Wittenburgs, their lives are in a shambles. As it turns out, Rocky is allowing the tragedies of her own past to ruin the future of several innocent bystanders. This is the third film based on Tom Clancy's high-tech espionage potboilers starring CIA deputy director Jack Ryan. Harrison Ford, returning to the Ryan role after his first go-round in 1992's Patriot Games, is assigned to a delicate anti-drug investigation after a close friend of the President (a Reaganesque Donald Moffat) is murdered by a Colombian drug cartel. When Ryan discovers that the President's wealthy friend was in league with the cartel, the President's devious national security adviser (Harris Yulin) and an ambitious CIA deputy director (Henry Czerny) send a secret paramilitary force into Colombia to wipe out the drug lords. The force is captured and then abandoned by the President's lackeys. It falls to Ryan to enter Colombia and rescue them, aided only by a renegade operative named Clark (Willem Dafoe), with both his life and career on the line. ~ Don Kaye, All Movie Guide

This passable made-for-cable-TV vampire opus explores the clever concept of a Transylvanian immigrant community in the western United States. Young Cody (Jason London) is introduced to their legacy one fateful night when his parents are awakened, staked, and set on fire by ruthless vampire-hunters. After a narrow escape, Cody seeks out a distant uncle in Long Beach -- who happens to be a key figure in the "Carpathian-American" mob. Cody is eventually inducted into the culture, which is represented by various social strata, from a lawyer/journalist couple (who encourage further assimilation into non-vampire society), to a bloodsucking teenage biker gang. Cody becomes a full-fledged member of the family, learning the real secret which binds the community... but the new path to his destiny is soon blocked by the untimely arrival of the hunters, who have tracked him cross-country to his new family's Long Beach lair. This was originally conceived as a pilot for a TV series, and it shows -- the tendency to lapse into soap-opera conventions is all too apparent -- but benefits from a glossy look, high production values and some interesting plot twists. ~ Cavett Binion, All Movie Guide

Rescued by the Enterprise, the traumatized Timothy develops a strong attachment to android officer Data. The boy's idolatry takes a bizarre turn when he begins behaving like an android himself. Series star Patrick Stewart directed this episode, which was scripted by Joe Menosky from a story by Hilary J. Bader. It is Valentine's Day, and Dan Cupid has cast a curious spell over the "FYI" staff. Against her better judgement, Murphy (Candice Bergen) arranges a date between Frank (Joe Regalbuto) and a girl named Meg (Terri Treas), whereupon he reciprocates by pairing Murphy up with a guy named Richie (Harley Venton)--two "marriages" that were made someplace other than Heaven.
