A physician who helps his clients bring new life into the world is accused of an ethical breach that's also criminal in this independent drama. Dr. Freeman (Colm Feore) is a doctor who runs an upscale fertility clinic in Las Vegas, Nevada. Freeman specializes in helping women who have had trouble getting pregnant conceive, usually through artificial insemination techniques or transplanting donated eggs into his patients. Over the course of several weeks, Freeman inseminates nine women from different walks of life, ranging from middle-aged but newly married Lottie (Andie MacDowell) and a lesbian whose reproductive clock is ticking, Elsa (Donna D'Errico) to Frances (Geraldine Chaplin), an aging socialite who needs a son to inherit her husband's fortune and sassy, outspoken Salome (Jennifer Tilly). Of these nine women, eight become pregnant and give birth to healthy children, but when the new mothers compare notes, they discover their children bear a striking resemblance to one another. When journalist Tallulah (Elizabeth McGovern) looks into their story, they begin to suspect that Freeman used his own sperm to fertilize his patients rather than the donor samples they selected, a breach of conduct that lands the doctor in court. Lois develops kleptomania, leading to a wild shoplifting spree. She lands in prison, only to be broken out by Peter and the kids. The Griffins then take refuge from pursuing policeman Joe Swanson by hiding in "Asiantown." Alas, Joe manages to pick up their trail (no great trick, since Peter has become a popular sumo wrestler), whereupon the family retreats to the sewers, where the plot thickens, as it were. As for Loretta's husband, he has precisely no idea what's going on--no surprise, since he never has any idea of what's going on. Alerted by Peter and Brian, Cleveland finds out about his wife's indiscretion and plots a unique revenge--once the smoke stops spouting from his ears. Despite the fact that he's completely ignorant when it comes to the subject of Eastern cultures, Maxwell decides to marry a mail order bride. A small-town Canadian waitress pining for the attention of the former high-school football star finds her affections returned from the least likely of places in this entry into the 2005 Vancouver Film Festival from director Vic Sarin. To say that Eve Stuckley (Marla Sokoloff) has a low self-opinion would be an understatement. Though she may not necessarily be Cosmo material, the lovelorn waitress with dreams of being accepted to a New York City art school and a slight case of body dysmorphic disorder just can't seem to catch the eye of town hunk Jeff Sweeney (Barry Watson) -- even though Jeff is best friends with Eve's older brother, Chuck (Jonathan Cherry). When mysterious beauty Linda (Monika Schnarre) breezes into town on business, heads immediately turn and she is soon fending off the advances of both Jeff and Chuck. Candian filmmaker Peter O'Brian directs the comedy Hollywood North, set in Toronto during the late '70s. Matthew Modine stars as Bobby Mayers, a stressed-out Canadian producer trying to make an action film called "Flight to Bogota." The production is inevitably troubled by numerous problems with the cast, crew, and finances. Alan Bates stars as crazed Hollywood actor Michael Baytes, the leading man who takes over the set. Jennifer Tilly plays Gillian Stevens, the nymphomaniac leading lady who seduces her younger co-star Frankie Candido (Fabrizio Filippo). Meanwhile, filmmaker Sandy Ryan (Deborah Kara Unger) is trying to capture the whole thing for a making-of documentary. Alberto Sciamma's psychological thriller Jericho Mansions stars James Caan as Leonard Gray, the superintendent of the apartment building that gives the film its title. He has devoted his life to the building and to its many tenants; however, the denizens of the building begin to turn on him. A murder in the building leads to the police believing Leonard committed the crime. Hurricane Norman hits Quahog, destroying much of the neighborhood. The Drunken Clam, which has been the hangout of Peter (voice of Seth MacFarlane) and his friends for years, is spared, but they're aghast to learn that it's been sold and turned into a British pub. Peter returns home to complain to Lois (voice of Alex Borstein) about the "lousy, limey, tea-sucking British bastards," only to find that the pub's new owner (and his new neighbor), Nigel, has dropped by for a visit. He even has a little daughter, Eliza (voice of Tara Strong), who quickly becomes an irritant to Stewie (MacFarlane) with her strong Cockney accent. "Maybe you and your friends can find somewhere else to act like idiots," Lois suggests to Peter. After an abortive visit to The Cherry Pit, which turns out to be a lesbian bar, the boys decide, as Peter puts it, "to fight the British and drive them back to whatever country they came from." Inspired by the revolutionary colonists of old, they go to Quahog Harbor and dump the pub's ale supply into the ocean. Later that night, the pub is burned down, and a drunken Peter can't account for his actions. Soon, he and his friends are thrown in jail, where Joe (voice of Patrick Warburton) runs into a vicious criminal he helped put away. Lois and the other wives soon realize that Nigel himself was responsible for the fire, and set out to bring him to justice. Meanwhile, Stewie is teaching Eliza proper English. In the original broadcast, FOX cut out a scene at the pub, in which Peter is told that in Britain, "fag" means "cigarette" and responds by referring to one of the pub's patrons as a "cigarette." ~ Josh Ralske, All Movie Guide

Following up on her crowd pleasing 1998 film Finding North, Tanya Wexler directs this tweaked coming-of-age drama about a troubled teen and his even more troubled family. Having just come out of detox for drugs and alcohol, JJ (Jonathan Tucker) returns home hoping for a little comfort and solace, but he finds little of both. Though his mother continues to dote on him, everyone else is out to get him -- his brutish step-father Bull who is still furious over the vintage car JJ wrecked while hopped up; his vampish step-aunt Dot (Jennifer Tilly); his effete uncle Ernie. Even his former dealer Bobby, his girlfriend, who dumped him for Bobby, and his high school guidance counselor Dr. Charlie (David Strathairn) has something against JJ. While JJ struggles to straighten out his life, he remembers fondly his stay in detox. This film was screened at the 2001 Toronto Film Festival. ~ Jonathan Crow, All Movie Guide

Based on a novel by Bruce Craven, this road picture follows a dope fiend named Rick (Jake Busey), who believes his goal in life is to track down Ginger (Jennifer Tilly), a famous porn star who is currently staying in her Beverly Hills hideaway. Rick is obsessed with Ginger, watches her movies obsessively, and deals drugs on the side, all to the chagrin of his lover, Tamara (Natasha Lyonne). He decides to seek out Ginger via the road, and along the way picks up Jules (Crispin Glover), a neurotic, virginal type. On the way to meet Ginger, he finds an unwelcome surprise in the form of Ginger's very jealous husband (Eric Roberts). This lavish, cable-TV remake of Orson Welles' The Magnficent Ambersons endeavored to prove Welles right by adhering to his original screenplay, restoring several scenes which provided additional substance and significance to the story and deepened the characterizations. Set in Indianapolis at the beginning of the 20th century, the story parallels the "destruction" of a gentle, elegant way of life thanks to the introduction of the automobile with the disintegration of the aristocratic Amberson family, the wealthiest clan in town. Self-made millionaire auto manufacturer Eugene Morgan (Bruce Greenwood) returns to Indianapolis after a lengthy absence, determined to wed the recently widowed Isabel Amberson Minafer (Madeline Stowe), who still regrets having spurned him years earlier in favor of a "safer" marriage. Most of those concerned want to see the decent, self-effacing Eugene find happiness with the lovely Isabel, but her spoiled, snobbish son George (Jonathan Rhys-Davies), resenting the threat that Eugene and his automobiles pose to his pampered, superficial lifestyle, violently opposes his mother's romance. George's obnoxiously obstreperous stance seriously strains his own relationship with Eugene's sweet, sensible daughter Lucy (Gretchen Mol). Watching from the sidelines are George's neurotic maiden aunt Fanny Minafer (Jennifer Tilly), Isabel's likably bombastic senator brother George Amberson (William Hootkins), and frail family patriarch Major Amberson (James Cromwell), who, like virtually everyone in the story except Eugene, cannot accept -- or see -- that the times are indeed a-changing. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

A frightened child and her parents must endure a night of terror in this thriller. Walter (WIlliam Hurt) and Cathryn (Jennifer Tilly) are an American couple traveling in Amsterdam with their ten-year-old daughter Melissa (Francesca Brown). When Melissa accidentally witnesses a murder, the killers set out to find her and silence the child before she can tell anyone what she's seen. However, the problem is that Melissa can't tell her parents what's going on, as Melissa can't speak.
