Slacker siblings Marion and Jarmon Mugg discover that a mysterious beast is feeding on the frustrated tenants who inhabit their dilapidated brownstone apartment complex, and decide to take matters in to their own hands instead of calling pest control. Ever since their mother died and left them the building two years ago, Marion and Jarmon have sat and done nothing as it fell into a hazardous state of disrepair. As the tenants start to flee in droves, the brothers come to the terrifying realization that they have a monster problem on their hands. An uninspired painter discovers that great pain yields great art when a disgruntled ninja decides to teach him a hard lesson in following your dreams. Jack works in a movie theater with his girlfriend Sharon and buddy Nick. When he was younger, Jack was a promising artist. Like many starving artists, however, the once-promising painter ultimately decided to lay down his brush and seek out steady employment. This doesn't sit well with Marcus. Marcus is training to be a ninja. He detests Jack for allowing his apathy to overshadow his ambition, and he's determined to jar him out of the self-defeating cycle of self-pity.
