Four men go looking for love in all the wrong, right, and indeterminate places in this over-the-top sequel to Todd Stephens' comedy Another Gay Movie. Having lost their virginity and finished high school in the first movie, Andy (Jake Mosser), Griff (Aaron Michael Davies), Jarod (Jimmy Clabots), and Nico (Jonah Blechman, the only one of the four leads who reprises his role from the first film) are now college students who take some time off from their studies to attend a massive Gay Spring Break bash in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The partiers decide to make things more interesting by having a contest in which the guy who manages to have the most sex over the course of the week is the big winner. However, Griff and Jarod are now a couple and are trying to remain faithful to one another, Andy meets handsome Luis (Euriamis Losada) and is too smitten to feel comfortable playing the field, and Nico is too effeminate to appeal to the buff beach boys who've overrun the city. As the four friends try to find a way to bring home the prize, they're confronted by Jasper (Will Wikle), who won the trophy last year and is looking to repeat the feat with the help of his sidekicks Jasper (Brandon Lim) and Jasper (Isaac Webster). A drug-addicted former policeman attempts to remain high long enough to solve the case of a missing child and salvage what's left of his corroded character in writer/director Robert Ethan Gunnerson's gritty detective film. Paris Pritchert (Peter Facinelli) used to be a good cop; now those days are long gone, and he's moved to the other side of the law. A drug dealer who made the fateful mistake of sampling his own product, Paris walks through each day in a chemical haze. Upon receiving word of a missing child, Paris realizes that should he prove successful at tracking down the boy, he could have one last shot at redemption. But in order to accomplish his mission Paris needs to remain confident, and in order to keep confident he needs to be high. The standard "four horny guys" conceit of the typical teen comedy gets a change-up in this independent sex farce. Jarod (Jonathan Chase), Griff (Mitch Morris), Nico (Jonah Blechman), and Andy (Michael Carbonaro) are four close friends who are soon to graduate from high school, and at the end of the summer they'll go their separate ways as they go away to college. All four of them have something else in common -- they're virgins, and have made a pledge to one another to finally go all the way by Labor Day. Oh, did we mention these guys all happen to be gay? Griff devotes nearly every waking hour to improving his butt, Nico is the stereotypical flaming movie buff, Jarod is a jock worried about the size of his sporting equipment, and Andy has a bad habit of swiping vegetables from his mom's garden for purposes other than making a salad. With the help of their lesbian pal Muffler (Ashlie Atkinson), the guys go on the prowl looking for Mr. Right (or Mr. Right Now), with plenty of sexy, strange, and just plain gross hi-jinks along the way. Written and directed by independent filmmaker Everett Lewis, Luster is a low-budget romantic comedy. Would-be poet Jackson (Justin Herwick) is tired of orgies and wants to settle down. While working at the record store owned by Sam (Shane Powers), he attracts the affection of good boy Derek (Sean Thibodeau). However, he would rather have bad boy Billy (Jonah Blechman), who's involved with rock star Sonny Spike (Willie Garson). Meanwhile, Jackson's cousin Jed (B. Wyatt) arrives in town from Iowa and agrees to get naked for lesbian photographer Alyssa (Pamela Gidley). Treasure Island is an experimental, 16 mm black-and-white drama written, directed, and photographed by producer Scott King. The loosely constructed plot shows the private lives of two British code-crackers (Lance Baker and Nick Offerman) during WWII who decode letters and look for hidden meanings behind the words. As a counterintelligence ploy, they decide to drop a dead body off the coast of Japan before a discovered invasion. The film then turns to these men's personal lives and the problems with the women they love, along with the secrets they hide. Frank is married to two women yet is pursing a third, while Samuel and his wife Penny are in a ménage à trois. As the pressures of their lives begin to eat away at them, the dead body starts to enter Frank and Samuel's subconscious, interacting with the private stories of their lives. Inspired by a true story, director John Patterson's made for television thriller stars ageing screen siren Ann-Margaret the titular black widow, a deeply-disturbed, part-time Wisconsin schoolteacher who manipulates her students into killing her husband under the false pretences that he is an abusive tyrant who is about to end their marriage and send her packing from their lavish suburban home. The truth, however, is that Diane's husband Ruben (Peter Coyote) is just a regular guy who realized that his marriage was a mistake when his irrationally jealous wife fails to prevent signs of her acute instability from bubbling to the surface. While Ruben staunchly opposes divorce, he is increasingly drawn to the beautiful Claire (Leslie Hope), a married woman who effectively signs his death warrant after luring him into an adulterous affair. In this violent thriller, three young men start a joke that quickly becomes more real (and more dangerous) than they'd ever anticipated. It's 1957, and three high school seniors celebrating their graduation think it would be fun to pull a prank; David (David Arquette), Tim (Jason London), and Joe (Jonah Blechman) will fake a robbery by driving up to a bank, "shooting" one of their number with a blank gun, and throwing him in the trunk before speeding away. But just as they're playing their practical joke, Florence (Mickey Rourke) and Leon (Stephen Baldwin) are pulling an actual armed robbery at the same bank. In the confusion, the boys get mixed up with the real criminals, who take the teenagers hostage. Florence, unstable and given to sadistic tendencies, subjects the boys to torture with a clear homoerotic undercurrent; eventually, Florence and Leon tell the boys they'll release them only if they pull an actual bank job. A single mother and her difficult son find family life isn't necessarily all it's cracked up to be in this drama adapted from writer and professor Tobias Wolff's 1989 memoir of the same name. Nomadic, flaky Caroline (Ellen Barkin) just wants to settle down in one place, find a decent guy, and provide a better home for her handful of a son, Toby (Leonardo DiCaprio). When she moves to Seattle and meets the respectful, respectable Dwight Hansen (Robert DeNiro), she thinks she's got it made. Toby, however, feels differently after spending a few months with Dwight and his children and away from Caroline. The boy's stepfather-to-be seems to want to mold Toby into a better person, but to do so he emotionally, verbally, and physically abuses the kid. The marriage proceeds, and soon Caroline, too, recognizes Dwight's need to dominate everyone around him. She sticks with it, though, convinced it's the best thing for her son, and several years of dysfunction ensue. During this time, Tobias befriends another misfit, the possibly homosexual young Jonah (Arthur Gayle), while continuing to chafe under the yoke of his repressive stepfather. This Boy's Life provided the first lead role for future superstar DiCaprio. This made-for-television thriller tells the story of an unstable woman who goes to bizarre lengths to keep her drifting lover. Kate Jackson stars as Rita Donohue, a nurse who believes that she can re-ignite her disinterested lover's passion by having a child. Unable to have a child of her own, Rita plots to snatch an infant from her hospital's maternity ward to later pass off as her own. She feigns a pregnancy, switches records on a stillborn and healthy child, and then steals a baby from new mother Jane Morgan (Lori Loughlin) in order to support her charade. The plan goes sour though, when Jane refuses to accept the hospital's claim that her child died, and she investigates the unsettling clues on her own. ~ Bernadette McCallion, All Movie Guide
