This is a movie about a movie that is entitled Bad Girls from Mars. Mystery develops when the bountifully buxomed leading ladies are murdered one-by-one. All fingers point to a mysterious masked man who is leaving notes around to add to the suspense. Most of the crimes involve some sort of nasty sex scene, making the detective on the case wary of several of the deviant characters involved in the movie production. Peter Rader directed this horror film about a teen-aged orphan named Lynn (Kim Valentine) who accompanies her young brother David (Eric Foster) to live on their grandparents' farm after their father dies. Before long, it becomes obvious that all is not right on the farm, and that the grandparents (Ida Lee and Len Lesser) are hiding a dark secret. Cult favorite Brinke Stevens stars as the kids' insane mother, whom the grandparents have drugged to control her homicidal impulses, and screenwriter Peter Jensen provides the atmospheric photography. Some chilling moments and a particularly creepy performance by Lesser make this average slasher film worthwhile. Producer Nico Mastorakis had co-written the story for the abominable The Greek Tycoon (1978) before turning to genre filmmaking. ~ Robert Firsching, All Movie Guide

A handful of people who think they've survived it all are faced with a challenge they never counted on in this futuristic sci-fi story. Frank Blaine (Peter Spellos), communications technician Carla Ferguson (J.J. North), and McQueen (Tim Abell), a straggler looking for his lost son -- roam the wastelands in search of food and shelter. Looking for a place to stay, they happen upon an abandoned military facility and break in. However, they soon discover they're not alone; a large and very bloodthirsty creature, created by intelligence agents as a possible weapon, was left behind, and these weary warriors quickly find themselves in the most desperate battle of their lives. This Florida-lensed slasher silliness (not surprisingly produced by exploitation overlord Fred Olen Ray) is enlivened only slightly by posthumous cameos from John Carradine and Cameron Mitchell, as well as appearances from B-movie "Scream Queens" Linnea Quigley and Brinke Stevens. The plot is basically a riff on the standard Freddy Krueger-esque supernatural-maniac formula, only here the unstoppable psycho is merely a lumbering ghoul with a big pumpkin for a head, awakened from a cursed sleep on Halloween night by the usual handful of obnoxious teenage morons. Amid confusing flashback sequences and some phony occult blathering (courtesy of the town witch), we're told that Jack-O is the incarnation of a murdered farmer who has returned to avenge himself by taking a scythe to his killers' ancestors, but this particular pumpkinhead's people-reaping spree seems to cover a much broader swath, including a crop of nubile young things -- preferably just out of the shower, or fresh from a randy romp in the local cemetery. Even allowing for a certain camp appeal, there's not an original concept to be found amid the abundant nudity and severed limbs. ~ Cavett Binion, All Movie Guide

This lame sex "comedy" is about a virgin named Freddie who has a major complex about his mother and won't let himself become involved with any other woman. Director Bert Gordon made his "reputation" grinding out cheap sci-fi giant-bug movies in the '50s and '60s. He should have stayed with them. ~ Brian Gusse, All Movie Guide
