While celebrating the opening of his new executive offices, George Jefferson (Sherman Hemsley) is contacted by a pair of crooks who claim that they've kidnapped George's wife, Louise (Isabel Sanford), and are holding her for 100,000 dollars ransom. But everyone is in for a big and none too pleasant surprise -- the kidnappers have nabbed the Jeffersons' sassy housekeeper, Florence (Marla Gibbs), by mistake. Returning to a Saturday-night time slot, The Jeffersons launched its fourth season with a special one-hour episode. Overhearing George Jefferson (Sherman Hemsley) brag about his wealth and his posh new offices, two seedy-looking men break into the Jefferson apartment, intending to kidnap George's wife, Louise (Isabel Sanford). Before long, George is receiving a phone call demanding an exorbitant ransom -- but that's hardly the end of the story.
