The Cappella della Pietà de' Turcini mounted this 2008 stage production of Italian composer Leonardo Leo's 1740 opera L'Alidoro. The title translates into English as "Golden Wings"; the work, lost for centuries but rediscovered in the Abbey of Montecassino during the early 21st Century, examines love and envy from a myriad of perspectives, especially as filtered through the lenses of age and social status. This particular production stars Maria Ercolano as Luigi - Alidoro, Valentina Varriale as Zeza and Maria Grazia Schiavo as Faustina.
