A vehicle for popular wrestling celebrity Hulk Hogan, Suburban Commando is an inoffensive science-fiction fantasy. Hogan plays Shep Ramsey, a well-sculpted if somewhat dimwitted intergalactic hero. On vacation from fighting crime on other planets, he has a fight with an alien enemy and his spaceship is damaged. He seeks refuge on Earth until his ship can be revived. Trying to look inconspicuous as an ordinary human being without special powers, he is befriended by a suburban family headed by Charlie Wilcox (Christopher Lloyd) and his wife Jenny (Shelley Duvall). Ramsey's stay isn't peaceful because he has such a keen sense of justice, which he dishes out to muggers, reckless drivers, and even smart-aleck paper carriers. What's Love Got to Do With It? is the filmed biography of R&B/pop singer Tina Turner (Angela Bassett), documenting her efforts to break away from her abusive husband Ike (Laurence Fishburne). After a few scenes detailing Tina's life as a young singer in Nutbush, TN, she's discovered by Ike Turner, an already established songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. A middle-aged couple are troubled by the pitter-patter of grown-up feet in this comedy. Clayton Avolini (Bernie Sparago) and his wife Lindsay (Catherine McGoohan) share their home with their grown son Bud (James O'Leary), who is trying to break into hip-hop music. Clayton has just become eligible for retirement, and he's eager to sell the family home and move someplace quiet down South. However, Clayton's plans haven't gotten very far when he suddenly has to deal with some unwelcome guests. His three other adult children, Scott (Brian Williams), Michael (Tony Mortillaro), and Ann Marie (Heather McClurg), have all washed out of their careers, and have come home to live with Mom and Dad for a while. Clayton and Lindsay are trying to decide what to do with their suddenly crowded home when Lindsay's mother Nellie (Sparkle) also appears at the doorstep. Former co-stars of the TV sitcom Head of the Class teamed up to write the story and script for this teen comedy. When junior high-school student Jason Shepherd (Frankie Muniz) realizes that his class paper has been ripped off and turned into a hit motion picture called "Big Fat Liar," he takes matters into his own hands. Along with his best friend, Kaylee (Amanda Bynes), Jason travels to Los Angeles, where he intends to confront Hollywood big shot Marty Wolf (Paul Giamatti), the sleazy producer responsible for ripping him off. When he's unable to get Wolf to do the right thing, Jason subjects the showbiz power broker to a series of humiliating pranks and stunts designed to make an honest man out of him.
