Foreman is puzzled by this situation, but House (Hugh Laurie) thinks that the reason may have something to do with Melinda's fiercely protective mother (Mel Harris). Six months after the death of patient Kaya McGinley (Alison Smith), whose illness was misdiagnosed by Chase (Jesse Spencer), a disciplinary hearing is held to probe the situation. Prior to being grilled by a panel of his superiors, Chase is questioned about the incident by Stacy (Sela Ward), as are House (Hugh Laurie) and Cameron(Jennifer Morrison)--and to say that their stories don't quite match up is putting it mildly. Making matters worse is the fact that Chase isn't being completely up-front about his relationship with Kayla. This remake of the classic 1975 science fiction film follows the same basic story line but focuses far more on the sports action of the fictional game at its center. Chris Klein stars as all-American athlete Jonathan Cross, the most popular player of "Rollerball," a violent 21st century sport mixing elements of basketball, hockey, roller derby, and extreme sports, along with the development of live wagering that tracks each game's action. Along with his friends and teammates Marcus (L.L. Cool J) and Aurora (Rebecca Romijn-Stamos), Jonathan is living the life of a media celebrity and millionaire, enjoying the adoration of fans and all of the perks that his fame brings. When the creator of Rollerball, Alexi Petrovich (Jean Reno), realizes that the sport's ratings spike during the on-court accidents that are de rigueur for the game, he schemes to create the bloody incidents that are popular with viewers but put the athletes in mortal jeopardy. Soon, Jonathan and his friends find themselves pawns in a vast corporate conspiracy in which their lives are far less important than profits. Three women working for a singing telegram company contend with a variety of problems on St. Valentine's Day. The manager is gone, and one woman has lost her voice. The second woman has just broken up with her boyfriend, and the third is caught in a bitter child-custody battle with her ex-husband. One dresses in a gorilla suit to deliver one of the 50 singing telegrams scheduled for the busy day. Expectations ran high for the success of this daffy British sitcom about a busy advertising agency. Christopher Biggins starred as Brian Reeves, head man of the agency, who presided over a crew that gave "motley" a whole new meaning. Among the supporting players was future TV favorite Liza Goddard as Claire. Directed by Tudor Gates, Intimate Games centers around a group of English psychology students simultaneously researching sexual fantasies as well as fulfilling those of their professor. This 70's piece of British sex-cinema features a performance by George Baker, who later became famous for his role in the television series Ruth Rendell Mysteries, and an uncredited role from future sex actress Mary Millington.
