Determined to win a local basketball tournament so that one of their own can afford to send his son to college, a group of hoop-shooting little people recruit former NBA star Dennis Rodman to help them play the biggest game of their lives. A loving father, Roger simply doesn't have the money to fund his son's college education. Noting that a local basketball tournament boasts a $50,000 award for the winning team, Roger recruits all of his vertically challenged friends to go for the gusto. But in order to win they'll need the "right man for the middle," and what better candidate than Rodman? This uplifting, inspirational drama concerns Alex (Walter Nudo) an Italian engineer employed in Russia for several years. With his labor contract nearing expiry, he plans to return to Italy - until he accidentally crosses paths with Dima, a hospital-bound child stricken with terminal cancer. The two become friends, and Dima introduces Alex to the other residents of the ward. Alex soon begins volunteering as a pianist, playing for kids in the facility, which brings him face-to-face with the struggles that terminally-ill chidren face, and gives him the opportunity to provide hope for those who desperately need it. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi
