Writer/director Wayne Kramer offers a glimpse into the aging Las Vegas casino world with the romantic drama The Cooler. Bernie Lootz (William H. Macy) is extremely unlucky at gambling, and he owes the Shangri-La casino over 100,000 dollars. He is so unlucky that he is hired as a "cooler," someone to gamble next to high rollers and give them some of his bad luck to stop them from winning. This arrangement works out for awhile, until Bernie has almost paid off his debt and meets cocktail waitress Natalie Belisario (Maria Bello). The two start to fall in love and Bernie's luck begins to change. However, the old-fashioned mob boss Shelly Kaplow (Alec Baldwin) isn't going to let Bernie go so easily. Meanwhile, Larry Sokolov (Ron Livingston) arrives on the scene to help update the business management of the old mobster-run casino. Also starring Joey Fatone and Paul Sorvino as lounge singers. The Cooler was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize in the dramatic competition at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival. ~ Andrea LeVasseur, Rovi

The greatness continues (or something like that) in this sequel to the racy comedy Hollywood Hot Tubs. Crystal Landers (Jewel Shepard) and her mother Pamela (Remy O'Neill) are still running their successful hot tub business, and Pamela sends Crystal to night school so she can get a degree in business. Jason (Patrick Day), one of her classmates, has mastered the art of talking, dressing, and acting like a yuppie, and he volunteers to rid Crystal of some of her Valley Girl affectations so she can move ahead in the business world. Pamela finds her heart is stolen away by Prince Ahmet (Bart Braverman), an Arab who has made a killing in the oil business, while the Prince's chauffeur, Gary (David Tiefen) has his eyes on Crystal. But Gary likes Crystal just enough to warn her that the Prince isn't all he seems to be, and he has plans to take over their hot tub business. Hollywood Hot Tubs 2: Educating Crystal also features the unforgettable closing theme "Educating Crystal Rap," performed by the memorably named hip-hop outfit Whitey Got No Soul. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

In this softcore sexploitation film by Paco Lara, Christina (Jewel Shepard) is the wealthy heiress to a publishing fortune, kidnapped by a variety of evil men or women who sexually use her as they wish and then pass her on to the next group, willingly or not. In-between the sex are some obviously fake martial arts battles between women, and a non-existent storyline which has Christina falling asleep at odd moments so dream sequences can be added to the pastiche. Parental guidance is in order. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi

In this standard young teen/older woman sex story, Bobby (Matt Lattanzi) has had trouble with French at school, and sex out of school, and so his rich parents hire a winsome 30-year-old tutor (Caren Kaye) to help him with the first subject, without thinking that she would help him with the second as well. The father (Kevin McCarthy) is not exactly subtle about his interest in the tutor, but the discerning woman prefers his much more sensitive son. A few comic moments with Bobby's friends trying to teach him about sex, and a more respectful treatment of the sexual relationship between the tutor and young teen alleviates some of the otherwise, run-of-the-mill storyline. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi
