One of those charming quirks of the late '30s, Universal's star toddler Baby Sandy enjoyed a brief but highly lucrative screen career that tends to puzzle classic movie fans. Born Alexandra Lee Henville, Baby Sandy enjoyed above-title billing in a series of low-budget but fairly amusing comedies, in which the toddler remained totally unaffected and, despite allusions to Shirley Temple, quite untalented.
