Best known as the wife of rapper Snoop Dogg (born Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr.), whom she married in June 1997, Shante Broadus generally remained out of the limelight prior to 2008. That year, Shante and Snoop co-signed to appear in their own reality series on the E! cable network, Snoop Dogg's Father Hood, opposite their children, Cordell, Corde, and Cori. The program, which bore marked similarities to The Osbournes, Hogan Knows Best, and numerous other celebrity-themed reality series, took viewers behind the scenes of the Broadus family's daily life, and featured such highlights as Snoop getting acupuncture and practicing yoga. ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide- 2007
