History comes alive shortly before collapsing in a stupor in this short comedy. In the web series Drunk History (created for the website Funny Or Die), noted comedians indulge in some alcohol, and once it takes hold they discuss famous events in American history with their perceptions twisted by drink as well-known actors enact the stories. In this installment, Duncan Trussell chases some absinthe with a six-pack of beer and then discusses the rivalry between Thomas Edison (John C. Reilly) and Nikola Tesla (Crispin Glover), two famous scientists with very different ideas about electricity. Drunk History: Tesla & Edison was an official selection at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

An important moment in American gets a new and . . . let's say different interpretation in this short comedy. In the web series Drunk History (created for the website Funny Or Die), noted comedians knock back some liquor, and once they get loopy they discuss famous events in American history through a fog of alcohol, with their versions reenacted for the audience's edification. In this installment, Jen Kirkman downed a couple bottles of wine and shared what she knows about the meeting between Abraham Lincoln (Will Ferrell) and Frederick Douglass (Don Cheadle), with Kirkman occasionally pausing to stretch out on the couch, ask if she's chosen a flattering pose and wonder out loud if she's taken off her pants. Drunk History: Douglass & Lincoln was an official selection at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

This soul scorching film follows the ups and downs of the greatest rock band in history, Tenacious D, as they embark on a large-scale world tour. The documentary follows the band on the highs of playing to devoted crowds in an unprecedentedly involved stage show in which they splay the second half of their set from the bowels of hell. It also follows the guys through the lows of their feature film Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny falling flat at the box office, threatening the would-be triumph of these undisputed kings of rock. ~ Cammila Collar, Rovi
