Thai/American pop singer Krissada Terrence stars in this cynical thriller adapted from the manga My Mania and detailing the harrowing journey of a luckless man who engages in a disturbing underground game in a desperate bid to get his life back on track. Chit is a guy with some serious problems: He's just been fired from his job, his car has been impounded, his debts are growing, and he can't seem to maintain a relationship to save his life. When Chit receives a mysterious phone call inviting him to participate in a bizarre underground game that promises to solve all of his financial woes should he take top prize, the prospect of earning some quick cash proves too tempting to resist. In order to win the game, Chit will have to complete thirteen tasks designed specifically to push him to the edge of sanity. While the tasks start out innocently enough, they rapidly progress into life or death territory - making Chit question his moral compass and highlighting how far some folks are willing to go to achieve wealth. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

A would-be rock star strives to turn the beat around for the forces of good in this offbeat comedy from Thailand. Bay (Krisada Sukoson) is a long-haired rock & roll drummer who studies in his spare time with a mystical Drum Master (Pranee Keebut) in hopes of some day reaching the Tenth Level of Enlightenment with the Drums of the Gods. One day, Bay slips into a trance while frantically bashing out a rhythm, and when he regains consciousness, he discovers someone has pulled a fast one on him -- his sticks have been replaced with daggers, and instead of swatting his drum kit, he's been stabbing his landlady. Panicky and certain someone is out to get him, bloody Bay turns to his girlfriend, Don (Nuntaka Worravanitchanun), a fellow student of the Drum Master. While Bay and Don struggle to find a way to clear his name as the police begin investigating the landlady's death, Bay must also prepare for the most important performance of his life -- a drum battle against a master musician from the sinister percussion corps the Devil's Drums. Bangkok Loco (aka Tawan Young Wan Yoo) was already a cult favorite amongst international DVD collectors when it received an enthusiastic reception in its North American premiere at the 2005 Toronto Film Festival. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
